身體主要的排毒器官是結腸、肝臟、肺臟、腎臟、皮膚和淋巴腺體。試想周遭空間若堆滿垃圾,會有什麼感覺?身體裡若累積來自過多環境汙染、食物或病菌的毒素,無法正常代謝,身體與心靈必定疲憊不堪、沒有活力。
 
身體的每個細胞都需要充足的葡萄糖和氧氣,因此血液流經身體的每個部分是很必要的,因為身體運作機能仰賴血液供給葡萄糖和氧氣。心臟則是灌注血液到動脈並維持循環的重要器官。當身體某部分流動的血液減少了,可能會產生循環不良的症狀:刺痛、麻木、四肢抽痛等。
 
呼吸、伸展、循環和流汗可以維持器官的正常運作。瑜珈協助身體排毒器官運作正常,讓肝與淋巴結發揮清理、淨化血液與淋巴等功用。對於心臟和血液循環也有其功效,可以維持血壓正常。
 

The organs of detoxification include the colon, liver, lungs, kidneys, skin and lymph glands. Imagine, if your environment is full of garbage, how do you feel? If your body accumulates toxins of environment pollution, food waste and bacteria without metabolism, you must feel your mind and body exhausted and out of vitality.
 
The glucose and oxygen should reach all the distant body cell, proper blood flow to all body part is essential as they are dependent on the blood for the supply of glucose and oxygen. The heart carries out the vital function of pumping the blood in the arteries and keeping it in circulation. When blood flow to a specific part of your body is reduced, you may experience the symptoms of poor circulation: Tingling, Numbness, Stinging pain in your limbs.
 
Breath, stretch, circulation and sweating keep organs work well. Yoga postures make organs of detoxification work normally so that liver and lymph nodes can do the job of cleansing and purifying the blood and lymph. Yoga has an effect on the heart and blood circulation. It helps to keep the blood pressure normal.
